About Children’s Home Society – SW Washington
There’s no one way to be a family, but there is a right way to support one. Our connection to kin is foundational. Children are essential. Love is universal. Yet our traditional, primary intervention for families in crisis has been removing children from their home, families and communities, which leads to “stranger care.” This devastating separation has a lifelong impact, disproportionately falling upon Black, Brown, and Indigenous children.
