Final Draft Taphouse is a craft-beer bar in Vancouver Washington featuring 30 rotating craft beers, craft cider and wine, and a small food selection. We offer the community an entertaining, welcoming, community craft-beer bar to gather to learn about and enjoy high quality, local craft beers while connecting with existing and new friends.
Thank you everyone for a truly amazing year! We could not have done it without all of you beer friends, those we've known for some time and those that are new to us! You are the reason why we have been able to make this dream come true. We've reflected on our first year of owning our craft beer bar Vancouver, WA and wanted to share it with you!
We are almost one year old already! Can you believe it? We can, barely! We would love to celebrate with all of you! Mark your calendars, save the dates!

This is a little gem of video that I made two years ago already! While it may be a few years old, it remains my love letter to American Craft Beer! Maybe Mike and I should make a new one soon cause well, we have a lot to be thankful for because of American craft beer and all the opportunity it provides us!? What do you think?
Picture this....you walk into a pub you've never been into before, you see groups of people gathering around tables, pints in hand, and see someone telling a group a story! It's clear she's telling a story cause her hands are flailing, her friends' smiles are showing, and then the belly laugh! Isn't that the best? Seeing people connecting and having a great time!
Storytelling is the way we connect with others. Telling stories is how, since the beginning of time, we've shared ideas, thoughts, emotions, and history, and how people share life together.
As Andy Smith put it on his blog post for Ceros blog...
"Stories are all around us. They are what move us, make us feel alive, and inspire us. Our appetite for stories is a reflection of the basic human need to understand patterns of life — not merely as an intellectual exercise but as a personal, emotional experience. Stories are the way to reach out to people and emotionally connect."
While we know this happens in many pubs, taphouses, and bars already, we at Final Draft Taphouse want to be intentional about fostering an environment of storytelling. We are intending to weave it through the taphouse experience when you come in, to what you see us sharing on social media, and what types of events we host at our taphouse. We want to do this because we want to know your stories...the story of your day, your season in life, your career, your family, and your journeys. We want to hear about your #beerstory...where you are in your beer journey, whether you are just getting into craft beer or you're an enthusiast already. We want to pour you a pint and connect with you and hopefully our place helps you connect with others!
One quick story on that. ;-) Recently, I went into a local taphouse solo and was going to grab a pint after a long day of work and running errands. I found a seat at the crowded bar and ordered up an IPA. Next thing you know, I was talking with a woman sitting next to me. She had recently moved to Vancouver, and she was hitting up the taphouse solo as well. Come to find out, her story of leaving her hometown, burnt out from her old job and life, was a similar story to mine. She picked up, found a job here and was starting over! She loves craft beer and is eager to find other women in the area who love craft beer who she can building friendships with!
